The KISS Arts Festival | Kiama

When:  28th April – 1st May 2016

Where:  Kiama Harbour

The KISS Arts Festival is back at a new time of year, a new location and it is going to be better than ever.

This year’s festival is also taking on a much more community oriented feel with the introduction of 2 major new events.

A raft race across the harbour with some amazing prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places from Nowra Trees Adventure, Kiama Chamber of Commerce and Jamberoo Action Park.

The Night Lights program with hundreds of lanterns being launched across the harbour as well as light installations, interactive video and “The Loonatic Spectacular” who will oversee the harbour and the proceedings. All of this will take place in a temporarily erected Maritime “show town” around the harbour consisting of mini tented venues, café’s, cinemas market stalls and installations.

There will be 3 mini venues, a free standing aerial rig, video installations, standees, the Kiama Farmer’s Market, The Ray White Community Stage and then a whole program of entertainment on the water itself. This year’s festival promises to be much bigger than before and jam packed full of amazing, free entertainment.

Other attractions include Kiama Kabaret, Nick Rheinberger (ABC Illawarra), Live Music, Screening of “The Kid Stakes” silent movie with live musical accompaniment from Jan Preston, sponsored by Gerringong Pics & Flicks, The Love Boat, Sailability Shoalhaven, Circus Dropzone, Have a go Aerial, Art & Craft space, Performances from Kiama Public School Choir, Kiama High School Band, Minnamurra and Gerringong School Band, Kiama Actors Studio, The Blowhole Buskers, Walk The Plank, Talking Lampposts, Roving musicians, magicians, jugglers, unicyclists, hula-hoop artists and much more.
